SENIOR DRILLING ENGINEER
As a part of the BASF Group, Wintershall has been actively involved in the exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas for more than 75 years. Today, the company, which has its head office in Kassel, is Germany's largest crude oil and natural gas producer.
Wintershall-Libya, a subsidiary of Wintershall AG, is an E&P company in Libya operating the C-96 and C-97 concessions. The company produces oil and gas from 7 fields in the Sirte basin.
Wintershall-Libya is furthermore actively involved in exploration in the Kufra basin. Our head office is in Tripoli, the production operations are coordinated from our Jakhira facilities in concession C-96.

Wintershall-Libya invites applications for the post of Senior Drilling Engineer
MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
The main purpose of this position is to assist the Drilling Manager in planning and directing Wintershall’s drilling and workover operations safely, for them to be environmentally responsible, within budget and to the satisfaction of the Company, Partners and Authorities also to be in compliance with regulations and other appropriate legislation.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Providing technical expertise in the planning and supervision of the drilling and workover operations in conformity with regulations, company approved policies and procedures, and recognised industrial standards and practices.
-Creating HSE plans and documents and driving Witnershall's HSE culture within every area of influence.
-Liaising with the Drilling Manager, Drilling Engineers and other departments to ensure that Wintershall’s drilling and other operations programs are safe, fit for purpose, optimised, economic, innovative and achieve the overall company objectives.
- Represents Drilling department in the more complicated field development projects.
- Preparing - and supervising the preparation of - drilling and other operational programs, safety documentation, cost control, summaries and recaps, end of well reports and lessons learnt data base.
- Ensuring effective and comprehensive coordination of ongoing and upcoming well work between the Operations Engineers, Site Representatives and Logistics organisation.
-Ensuring that the daily performance reports of drilling and other appropriate operations are accurate and generated in time. Evaluating operational and cost control monitoring reports; making recommendations for continuous improvement of operations through lessons learnt system.
-Ensuring timely ordering of long lead items and monitoring logistics and stocks to ensure availability as required.
- Assisting the Drilling Manager in tender evaluations and contract discussions


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Libyan national
- BSc or MSc in Mechanical, Drilling or Petroleum Engineering
- At least 10 years technical and operational experience in drilling and well service operations
- HSE Awareness
- Sound knowledge of applicable government rules and regulations
- Innovation, negotiation, leadership and analytical thinking skills
- Excellent English language and communication skills to work with multi national work force

LEGAL COUNSEL
Wintershall Libya invites applications for the post of Legal Counsel in our Tripoli offices.
MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
The main purpose of this job is to provide support to all departments on legal matters. The successful candidate will serve as an advisor on any issue with legal implications and helps to solve legal matters effectively. In addition, he/she will serve as a focal point for all court cases and other defined instances in order to ensure Wintershall Libya' s compliance with local legal requirements.
Main duties and responsibilities to include but are not limited to:

- Follow up litigation procedures started by the company or brought against it in Libya including preparation or review of the company defence and counter procedures.

- Draft and/or review agreements and contracts of the company and advise on legal aspects to ensure consistency with applicable laws and regulations.

- Draft and/or review company policies, procedures and decisions.

- Liaise with company legal consultants on legal issues to ensure handling such issues with a high degree of effectiveness. Monitor deadlines and coordinate procedures.

- Advise management on the latest legal developments relevant to the company's activities in manpower, environmental protection and those having fiscal effects.

- Review upon request correspondence between the company and public authorities and governmental agencies to ensure coherence with legal requirements.

- Review or provide legal translation of documents and correspondence from English to Arabic and vice versa.

- Provide legal support and advice to the HR Department on matters related to the application of the labour law and employees' relations.

- Work in close coordination with the Legal Department of Wintershall Holding AG, Kassel, Germany.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Libyan NationalUniversity degree in Law

- Profound knowledge of Libya legislation
- Experience in the Oil & Gas business is desirable (knowledge of Petroleum Law, Regulation and Agreements)
- Excellent written and spoken language skills in English as well as Arabic are essential
- Able to work independently and having the ability to strongly defend one's position

Company: Our client is a major transportation business that offers aviation related services to business and consumer customers. They are recognised as a well established brand and have started expanding their services in the German market. Due to this growth they now require a local accountant to be based in their Frankfurt office to manage their German business.

Role: This position will require the German Accountant to manage the complete finances of the German operation. This will include German payroll, taxes, IT costs, petty cash and all suppliers. The costs will be attributed in the German operation and fed into their Oracle Financials system so that the Financial Controller and the head office has complete visibility of the sales and costs in the German business.

Skills: The ideal candidate will be a qualified Accountant or part-qualified Accountant that has
experience managing a P&L, making payments to suppliers, monitoring the outsourced payroll provider to ensure that the input/output data is correct and has full knowledge of invoicing and payments.

You will possess fluent German and English and be interested in a "hands-on" finance role where you will be the sole accountant responsible for all finance related transactions in the German operation. Candidates should have experience in a similar role where they have managed suppliers, sales, taxes, payroll and produced monthly reports. Candidates with knowledge of SAP or Oracle Financials are preferred.
